Nichlas Lodiyong

Nichlas Lodiyong is people’s person, caring, enthusiastic, ambitious and driven with a passion for helping the needy due to natural or artificial calamities with no borders. Nichlas is passionate about equitable livelihood and well understood human value orientation as right for everyone.

 

Nic is a graduate in cosmetic chemistry and cosmetic formulation, he currently works for LUSH a Cosmetic Company as product researcher and development officer.

 

Nic learned how life is difficult without basic needs more especially to the vulnerable people due to individual or group political ambitions/ interests and arrogance, causing war crimes against the innocent civil population. It was this passion for humanity that motivated Nic to join the LUSH Charity team in 2008 to support the orphans that were left alone due to the insurgency in northern Uganda (Joseph Kony’s Lord Resistance Army LRA gorilla Movement). The aim was to initiate peace through the orphans and the children that have parents to create a real cohesive love among the adults in the community.

 

The strategy was successful and Gulu attained peace and after that, they moved to create jobs so as to maintain that unity in the community. The people of Northern Uganda and Gulu in particular were able to make little money, living happily and able to pay their children school fees.

 

Nic therefore joined UACD with the aim of symbiotic metamorphosis lifestyle transformation in the community taking it to the next level.  

 

Nichlas is currently based in Vancouver Canada and is serving as Director for Outreach and Resource Mobilization for UACD representing Canada.
